Basses

NOTICE:

I am currently focusing on electronics, and will not be building basses for sale at this time.

The Fudgesickle

My first bass, affectionately named by the guitarist in my country band for it's chocolatey color. Punchy sound and a thin neck make it fun to play.

Third Bass

A single pickup neck-through with koa and maple neck and an ebony fretboard.

The Green Machine

The second "Fastback", in British racing green with a rosewood fretboard.

The Grinder

The Grinder is a bougy "hippie sandwich" bass with my new bridge and string ferrules, custom 14V electronics, and some really pretty wood. Gobs of sustain, surprisingly resonant, perfect intonation, super flexible electronics. A dream to play, but without a doubt one of the coolest features is the string ferrules!

The Tulip

A heavy neck through in ash, maple, and mahogany. This bass has huge sustain and a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. It gets a lot of use in day-to-day testing of pickups and electronics.

The Kim

Called a "Fastback" to honor the Seattle band of it's owner, this is a small PJ with traditional elements of both.

Underhill - 127.jpg
The Wally

The third and final "Fastback", built for Wally Barnum. It has a thick cocobolo top, ebony fretboard, weight-relieved body, and black burst nitro finish.
