Underhill Warranty
This warranty applies to 6th generation (revision numbers 6.0 and above) preamp modules. For legacy preamps, please contact us with any warranty issues.
What Is Covered
Your preamp system (except for potentiometers and switches, see below) is warranted by Underhill Bass Guitars against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the original date of purchase. If you sell your preamp or give it as a gift, the warranty is automatically transferred to the new owner and remains in effect for the original three year period. During the warranty period, we will repair or, at our option, replace at no charge a product that proves to be defective, provided you return the product, shipping prepaid, to Underhill Bass Guitars.

Potentiometers (rotational controls) and switches on your preamp are warranted as above for two years from the original date of purchase.​​
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident or misuse or as the result of service or modification by other than Underhill Bass Guitars. Damage caused by batteries or reverse battery voltage is also not covered by this warranty. Check with the battery manufacturer about battery and battery leakage warranties.
Potentiometer Repair
Underhill preamps are designed for long-term reliability, and while the circuit boards will last decades, potentiometers can become bent, damaged, or scratchy over time and hard use, or damaged by improper installation. Underhill will replace potentiometers for a $20 flat fee, provided you return the affected module, shipping prepaid, to Underhill Bass Guitars. Turnaround will be fast, but, thanks to the modular design, you can also purchase a spare module if you have severe time constraints.
Return Policy
Preamps in new condition (uninstalled) can be returned or exchanged within thirty days of purchase by returning, shipping prepaid, to Underhill Bass Guitars.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on used (installed) units. We are a small shop that lovingly builds your preamp by hand, so please be committed to your purchase and we will be too. We provide detailed assistance to customers throughout the installation and tuning process, and we want you to get the most out of your preamp. We are not a large retailer who can support a "buy/try/return" business model, and we can't re-sell used modules (though you can!). That said, we do handle all situations on a case-by-case basis, so don't hesitate to contact us if you have an unusual one.
